Naloxone (Narcan®) is a safe medication that can save someone’s life by reversing the effects of an overdose that is related to opioids, such as prescription painkillers and fentanyl. Learn from a pharmacist valuable information on how to recognize and respond to a potential overdose. The instructions for administering naloxone nasal spray will be reviewed. There will be discussion on identifying those at greatest risk for overdose and steps we can take in facilities to take to prevent negative outcomes.
