PORTLAND, Ore. – April 4, 2019 – Consonus Healthcare, a post acute consulting, rehab, pharmacy and data analytics company, announced the launch of its “PDPM 2U” program today for partner organizations. This free, two day, in-person course was created to help educate Consonus customers on the major reimbursement changes coming this fall when the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) moves to a Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM).
“This October, our industry will experience the largest change we’ve seen to payment reimbursement in over 20 years with the shift to PDPM,” commented Phil Fogg Jr., CEO of Consonus Healthcare and a fourth-generation senior living operator. “This shift should not be taken lightly and needs to be priority number one for skilled nursing providers. This is why we’re committing to the facetime needed with our customers to ensure they have all of the tools necessary to be successful in this new environment.”
“PDPM 2U” is a four-state program that will start rolling out later this month, first in Portland, Ore. and then to California, Washington and Illinois. Coursework will include actionable information on the nuts and bolts of PDPM including coding and EMR updates as well as pharmacy implications and a readiness checklist.
