In this presentation, a pharmacist will guide participants through the Beers Criteria—a set of guidelines by the American Geriatrics Society to help identify potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs) for adults aged 65 and older. Attendees will gain insight into how medications listed in the Beers Criteria can contribute to adverse drug events, particularly in older adults with complex health conditions. Learn how these guidelines are intended to be used and empower staff to support medication safety and improve care quality for older adults.
