Consonus Pharmacy is offering medication-related education to Medication Aides and Caregivers. Any facility staff are welcome to attend. Classes are FREE to all Consonus clients and a small fee for non-Consonus clients. Consonus Pharmacy is committed to ongoing educational programs that support staff care for residents and provide the best possible patient outcomes and efficiencies.

Addressing Pain in Dementia: A Resident Centered Approach

FreeConsultant Pharmacist Nate Hedin teaches this class. Dementia poses unique challenges in pain management due to communication barriers and altered pain perception. This session aims to provide attendees with practical, resident-centered strategies to effectively assess and treat pain in this vulnerable population using both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches.
This 1.0-credit continuing education class is FREE to all Consonus clients. Anyone is welcome to join the class – Nurses, Administrators, Caregivers, Med Aides, etc. Only Oregon CMAs are eligible to earn CE credit for the course.
