Local Hillsboro resident and retired Marine Corps Colonel and Pilot, Bill Chase, took to the air once again as his wish to fly a helicopter again was granted by the Vital Life Foundation. Bill is a resident at Mirabella South Waterfront where he has received therapy for a neurological disease with Parkinsonism for the last 4 years. The Vital Life Foundation brought together community partners to make Bill’s dream a reality on June 26th. Friends accompanied Bill to the airport, giving a festive farewell before the one hour helicopter trip over the Willamette Valley wine country.
