CHICO — The 82-year-old was first admitted into the Arbor Post Acute nursing home in May following a stroke. He had memory impairments and right sided weakness. Then, in August, he was diagnosed with the coronavirus. When he returned to Arbor from the hospital, he was unable to walk.
“We had to basically start at square one,” Amy Fox, rehab director with Consonus Healthcare said.
Today, Michael Vannsy is able to walk with assistance and fully recovered from COVID-19.
